Hello, my name is Laurie Redman and I am 23BeechHill.
A stay at home mum to one beautiful daughter Tilly Boo and wife to one lovely supportive husband, I work from our Berkshire home where I design and hand produce my individual and very jolly textile pieces.
I pride myself on making all my items to the highest standard using the best materials available to me.
At school, I achieved the highest grade at 'O' Level Art and studied 'A' Level Art and History of Art before the call of Veterinary Nursing proved too strong.
One day, not so long ago, I decided to buy a sewing machine. My husband chuckled, my parents said "Ooh, lovely, Er why?" and Tilly said "Yay, Mummy, can I drive it too?"
Tilly was due to start school full time in the not so distant future and I wanted to plan for the time when I was at home on my own. So, from those early tentative beginnings, here I am today.
My inspiration comes from the wonderful books I read together with Tilly and also from my love of animals, especially Horses and Dogs and the Countryside around me.
Meet Sir Archibald, our very gorgeous and special Springer Spaniel. I am training him to be a Gundog and we are currently working through our grades having so far achieved Grade 4. Pretty good for a rescue pup with, shall we say, a fair few issues.
But we love you very much Archie & wouldn't be without you !
